Welcome, foolish mortals, to the new official page of The Haunted Trail at Golojuch Manor (pronounced GO-LOW-YOU).

It's almost here--you can feel it in the air. The sunlight is changing in color, and the nights are getting cooler. And as for the Manor, it's starting to take shape. Over the next few weeks, you will begin to see developments in the Jack Skellington's haunting decor. We will be busy at work until we open on October 24th, so feel free to drive by and check out the progress. And if you see us out front, say HI!

So much time and so little to do. Wait... reverse that.

This year we will have the raffle again for a themed goodie basket to help raise funds for next year. Tickets will be .50 each or 3 for $1. The more you buy, the better chance at winning!

We will also have our first ever costume contest.

Rules for the contest are as follows:

There will be no charge for entering the costume contest.

You may enter on any of the nights between operating hours.

There are no limits to costumes per person that can be entered.

A picture will be taken of you in your best pose.

Our staff will moderate all voting procedures.

Prior to entering, you will agree to a release on your picture for website or future advertisement purposes of The Trail with full consent. (NOTE: PICTURES WILL STRICTLY BE USED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY.)

There will be several categories as follows:

CHILDREN: Most Original & Creative and Best of Show

ADULTS 18+: Best Overall Male and Best Overall Female

PRIZES MAY BE AWARDED TO WINNER IN EACH CATEGORY. ALL CONTESTANTS WILL BE FEATURED IN OUR VISITOR'S CRYPT SECTION. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE, AND GET MAKING THOSE COSTUMES!!!

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! If you are interested in learning how to build sets and make props, we could really use the extra hands. We could also use some volunteers to help set up and run the attraction each night. Please contact us at thehauntedtrail@cox.net and we'll get back to you ASAP. Please note, this is a non-profit haunted house, so there are no paying jobs, strictly on a volunteer basis only. Those that perform well may be asked to participate in our commercial development of Capt'n Bones' Scareventures.
